Shapeoko2 Grid

I wanted to CNC a grid for the Cnc itself. I needed that kind of grid to quickly allow me to place the stock on the waste board and align it at the same time.

Also I’ve drilled few 1/4in holes to screw the different clamps.

Grid

I used a Mastercraft rotary tool with a 0.8 mm bit.

It took a while to do, few hours.

Holes

for this step I used a 1/8in bit (3.175mm) bit

I failed on the zero placement, so my holes are offset of ~1 mm… The reason is that I use the zero value set for the 0.8 mm bit on the left bottom corner.

Result

Currently I’ve only drilled the holes every 8 cm but I used Fusion 360 to do so, I’ll be able to add new holes in the future and even create a new waste board if needed.

On the image below I’ve 3D printed these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3465569, in order to setup the Makita RT0701C. (It works great ! Using PETG 50% infill)
